About Us

Who We Are and Why We Show Up

Real support for veterans, service members, and families — built by people who’ve lived it.

TEAM Vet exists to make the transition out of military life less confusing, less isolating, and more supported — from every angle.

We understand that stepping into civilian life isn’t just about paperwork and job hunting. It’s about identity, well-being, and feeling like you belong again. That’s why we bring together coaches, counselors, healthcare advocates, and peers who know what it’s like to serve — and what it’s like to adjust after.

Our work is personal, practical, and built around one goal: helping you move forward with confidence and support that doesn’t drop off when things get tough.

A Leader Who Knows the Struggles and Triumphs of Transitioning

Michael D. Williams

Founder/Chief Executive Officer

Hello, friend! I’m Michael D. Williams, a veteran, health coach, and wellness advocate who believes no veteran or military family member should go through the ups and downs of transition alone.

As a fellow veteran, I’ve lived through the challenges of shifting from military to civilian life. I know how lonely and frustrating it can feel when you don’t fit the mold. But I also know this: we’re not alone in this. Millions of veterans, families, and caregivers face these struggles daily, from job losses to housing crises to healthcare gaps.

I created TEAM Vet to bridge the gaps that many veterans and their families experience. It’s about providing real support that helps you rebuild your sense of purpose, find stability, and confidently move forward. This mission is my life’s work.

Why I Started TEAM Vet

I was born in Bastrop, Louisiana, and was raised with a strong work ethic and a deep sense of helping others. From a young age, I felt a natural pull to serve, leading me to the Navy. After serving alongside an incredible team of men and women, many of whom I’m still proud to call my friends, I retired and noticed the gaps in the support system for veterans like myself.

The lack of structured support for the struggles veterans face was eye-opening. It led me to create something that would make a difference, TEAM Vet.

No one should ever feel alone after service.

The most rewarding part of what I do now is using my experiences to help others reignite their sense of purpose. Every day, I see veterans, families, and active-duty members survive and thrive.

If any of this sounds familiar — you’re not alone. Let’s talk.
